As Founder, Administrator and Independent
Consultant for Akron Community Health Resources, Inc. (ACHR),
(Read
Reporter News Article Here), Ralph's professional
activities were devoted towards the research and succesful
development of an Akron, Ohio Community Health Center for
Southeast Akron including but not limited to:
- Establishment of Akron Community Health
Resources (ACHR) as a 501-C-3 corporation.
- Secured the designation of Southeast
Akron's community as a Medically Under-served Area (MUA)
and Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA)
- Successfully secured federal grant dollars
and private funding totaling more than three million dollars
($3,000,000) for the establishment of Akron's first Community
Health Center
- Established Akron Community Health Resources
(ACHR) as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) for
the Medicaid and Medicare programs
- Developed provider relations and networked
with key players through collaborative efforts and referral
relationships with key community agencies including but
not limited to hospitals
- Secured start up funding ($850,000) for
Massillon Community Clinic, Inc.
- As Project Director, provided oversight
in Community Health Center development including facility
development and recruitment of health center staff
To date, Ralph proactively explores opportunities
within the healthcare service industry to continue his commitment
to establish and maintain healthcare services for those
who are limited to or do not have access to healthcare.
In doing so, he continuously collaborate with other agencies
and entities in an effort to help lead the way in providing
healthcare services throughout both Medically Under-served
Areas (MUA) and Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSA).
Ralph is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He
grew up in the city of Cleveland, attended Cleveland public
schools, received his associate's degree from Westside Institute
of Technology, his bachelors and master's degrees from David
N. Myers University and is currently attending Novus University
as a law student. Ralph is a devoted family man and is married
to Edith Faulkner with 4 adult children and a host of grandchildren.
